[Note]: You can also download older versions of this app on bottom of this page.

There are many good android emulators in market, the best one is andy, Bluestacks, Nox App player and mynamo. In this guide, we will tell you the method to download NZ Birding Checklist using Bluestacks and Nox App player.

Download NZ Birding Checklist for PC with Bluestacks

  • Firstly, You should install Bluestacks Software on your Computer or Laptop. (Note: Come back to this post once you installed Bluestacks correctly)
  • After Bluestacks, now, you must download .APK file of NZ Birding Checklist. Click here.
  • Open the Bluestacks App already installed on your PC/Laptop. In the left-hand corner toolbox, you will find an option of Add APK. Load the APK file using the option on the Bluestacks. Click on that.
  • It will ask about the location where you have kept the downloaded APK. In my case, I have kept it on Desktop, so I am selecting that.
  • It will now automatically install the application on Bluestacks. You will find the NZ Birding Checklist on applications tab on the main screen of the Bluestacks window.
  • Now, you are all set to use NZ Birding Checklist on PC. Here is the NZ Birding Checklist successfully running on my PC after installing and clicked on the app.

Now, we should discuss the installation of NZ Birding Checklist on PC using NOX App player. You can use this method if Bluestacks method is not working properly on your Laptop or Computer.

Download NZ Birding Checklist for PC with Nox App player

  • First of all, you must download Nox App player, click on the software to start installation on your Computer/Laptop.
  • Now, download APK file from here.
  • After installation, open the NOX player. In the right-hand side corner toolbox, you will find an option of ‘Add APK’. Click on that option.
  • Select Don’t show again and click on I know.
  • You have to choose the APK from the downloaded location. As I have saved it on the desktop, I choose from there. (If your downloaded file is in Downloads area, select the .APK from there itself)
  • Nox will automatically install the Application. Open it from the home screen of Nox app player.
  • You will then be asked about if you want to change your location from ‘Worldwide’ to any particular location. Initially, choose Later option.
  • Now, you are ready to use the App with some pre-existing website links embedded in the App.
  • Note: Use ESCAPE to come back to the home screen or else you can use the symbols to operate NZ Birding Checklist app on PC NOX app player.

Which Emulator Should I Use?

If you’re going to follow my recommendation then I suggest you go with NOX because it’s quite simple and easy to understand. You don’t have to panic yourself for anything it will teach after every step for once to guide about how this Emulator works.

If it didn’t work for you then you can search for its alternative android emulators, the best alternative of NOX is BlueStack. It is also good and worth to use only if NOX didn’t work for you.

Download NZ Birding Checklist App for PC without Bluestacks

Users who want to experience the available movies & TV without blustacks can use a new software called The ARC Welder.

  • So this software only runs through google chrome browser. If you don’t have it by default, please go ahead & download it.
  • Then search for Arc Welder chrome extension in the google chrome store and simply download it.
  • Now follow the same steps. Download NZ Birding Checklist apk file, and run it on arc welder.
  • Choose the option – full window or partial screen while testing.
  • You can start using the app on your PC with these steps.

With these steps, you can have NZ Birding Checklist on your PC after these two methods are implemented.

So this is how you can download or install NZ Birding Checklist for Pc. Hope you guys have enjoyed my work and don’t forget to share this method with your friends and loved ones. You can also try this procedure on your Mac if you’re looking for NZ Birding Checklist for Mac devices.

If this doesn't work on your PC, or you cannot install, comment here and we will help you!

The description of NZ Birding Checklist

NZ Birding Checklist full version

This is one of a series of Birding Checklist applications for Android mobile phones and tablets. There are applications for Australia, New Zealand, United States (excluding Mexico and South America), Western Palearctic (UK and Europe), the Middle East, Pacific Islands, South Africa, and Ecuador/Peru/Bolivia.

PHOTOS & SOUNDS are downloaded separately, and must be manually installed via your PC. Please check the Readme file at this download website so you know how to do this. The photos and sounds are NOT included in the download package from the Android market. It is recommended that you test the download and install process with the demo version first, then upgrade to the full version when you have confirmed that it is working.

*** If you are having problems please email me (contact details in the About window in the application). I am unable to respond to comments or questions in the market reviews.

NZ Download website:

NZ and Norfolk Island – 396 species and 67 subspecies

These applications include basic bird identification information, and are NOT intended to replace a field guide. It is expected that users will have good familiarity with the birds they are seeing, and will use this application for:
a. Logging bird sightings (with GPS co-ordinates if your phone has a GPS)
b. Uploading your sightings to eBird (or similar PC or online recording system)
c. Maintaining your Lifelist

Full versions have the following features:
- complete listing of all bird species and subspecies (where known)
- searching and filtering of the bird list
- statistics and record of your personal bird Lifelist
- current tick list (birds you have seen today or during a short field trip)
- quick lists for customised bird listings for locations your frequently visit
- display of bird photos and bird calls on the SD card linked to the application (these must be manually downloaded separately)
- logging facilities including GPS location (if your phone has a GPS)
- export log file in eBird Import format for rapid loading of your sightings to eBird
- optional downloadable Rangemaps and extended text descriptions (incomplete but growing collection on external download site)
- help information
- play mp4 videos of birds stored in the photos folder on the SD card
- support for large screen 1280 x 800 tablets

Demo versions have reduced functionality (there is no longer a demo version of the NZ Birding Checklist:
- cannot save lifelist, sighting logs or statistics
- will not display rangemaps or extended descriptions
- do not display ticklists for regions
- no GPS location display on Google maps
- no alternate language support
- no quicklists (custom filtering of bird lists for your location)
- no mp4 video support

You can easily add your own resources files – the application places no restriction on this but very large numbers of photos (many thousands) may slow down the application.

Please contact me if you have any comments or suggestions, or corrections to the bird information.
